We Are A Sacramento-Area Leader In Rodent Control And Removal.

Rodent infestations tend to occur at the beginning of fall, when colder weather drives them inside, but you can have rodents at any time of year. Both rats and mice can manage to slip inside undetected through the smallest of pipes and holes, as they have extremely flexible bodies. They can fit through half-inch openings and quietly hide while staying warm and searching for food. They are known to chew through wires, wood, doors, and even tear through insulation as they search for places to nest.

Using store-bought traps or poison may not be enough to eliminate your rodent problem. If you’re dealing with a persistent rat or mouse problem, do not hesitate to contact the pros at Good Life Pest Solutions!

Be On The Lookout For Common Signs That You Have A Rodent Infestation.

Rodents tend to hide and avoid humans. As such, you may not see them. If you suspect that you have rats or mice, but are not sure, here are a few things to look for:

  • Droppings

  • Urine odor

  • Holes in walls or baseboards

  • Chew marks on furniture, doors, frames, etc.

  • Clawing, scratching, or scrabbling noises

  • Audible squeaking or squealing

If you notice any of these, it might mean that you have a rodent infestation. Contact us and we can professionally inspect your home or business. We employ effective removal methods that quickly remedy the problem, so you can go back to enjoying your home or business as soon as possible.

What Type Of Rodent Do You Have?

Roof Rats

As their name suggests, roof rats commonly find their way into the dry upper levels of a building, including the attic, but they are known to live anywhere. They are omnivores, meaning they are adaptable and can eat anything and everything. If they manage to establish themselves, they can quickly reproduce. In the matter of a few months, their population can grow 3 to 5 times.

House Mice

House mice are also omnivores, eating anything they can find. They are notorious for chewing wires, doors, plastic, cabinets, and anything else that gets in their way. They require little water, and can remain hidden in dark, confined spaces for long periods. The house mouse is found in both urban and rural homes and businesses, and can quickly adapt to new environments.

Brown Rats

Brown rats, which are sometimes referred to as sewer rats, street rats, or common rats, are driven inside by cold weather and found most often in dark basements and attics. The brown rat can reproduce throughout the year, and like other types of rats and mice, they reproduce quickly, with litters of as many as ten pups. These rats tend not to wander and stay close to their nest year round.

Deer Mice

Deer mice like to live in and around houses in both urban and rural locations that have plenty of foliage and vegetation. They move through tiny holes at ground level, but are known to climb to upper floors. These mice in particular will tear through insulation, as their nests are quite large and become messy.

We Can Seal Entry Points To Prevent Rodents From Coming Back Inside.

Rats are extremely clever, and are experts at finding their way into even the most secure homes and buildings. You might be surprised to learn that, for rodents, entry and harborage points exist anywhere: pipes and drains, vents and ducts, holes in the foundation, foliage contact, gaps in flashing, crevices between doors and frames, and more.

When one of our pest control experts inspects for rodents, they will make note of any obvious entry points, and recommend where to make repairs so that your unwanted house guests never return. We are committed to eliminating these pests and preventing them from ever coming back.

Rodent Control Options

When it comes to controlling and preventing rodents, our philosophy is to trap, seal & prevent.

Snap Trap:

This is the oldest type of trap and one of the most effective. They are meant to kill rodents on contact. We are very familiar with safely and strategically setting snap traps to quickly kill rodents.

Live-Animal Trap:

A live-animal trap is meant to trap rodents but not kill them. They must then be released off the property.

Electronic Trap:

An electronic trap provides an immediate shock designed to instantly kill the rodent.

Seal & Prevent:

We identify the entry point and then work to seal it completely, thus preventing future infestations.
